LORO (THEM)
In view of the increasing number of immigrants in Europe and fascinated by the technological development of drones, Krzysztof Wodiczko launched ‘Loro (Them)’ in Milan in 2019, a swarm of special drones with loudspeakers and LED screens that give migrants an audible voice and a personal view. Wodiczko’s performance shows the cruel aspects of deprivation of liberty, torture and human trafficking, which irrevocably lead to physical or psychological wounds.
