fragility of human memory in an age where AI attempts to restore what time erodes. Like an old cassette tape, memories fade, leaving gaps that technology tries to fill. By overlaying AI-restored footage onto deteriorated analog recordings, the work highlights the tension between preservation and loss, questioning whether technology can truly replicate the emotions and nostalgia embedded in memory.<\/p>\n<p>SEOYEON LEE<\/p>\n<p>Her artistic practice focuses on digital media and installations. One of her thematic focuses is the examination of the fragility of human memories, especially in the context of the digital age.<\/p>\n<p>INTERVIEW<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by this year&#8217;s LICHTROUTEN theme \u2018New Energies\u2019, Seoyeon Lee uses filmed material from L\u00fcdenscheid to make personal and collective memories visually tangible. Her work questions whether AI can replace human memory and emphasises the emotional depth of imperfect, random memories.
