EARTHLY DISTORTIONS
Videography

The video montage combines microscopic and macroscopic images of natural and urban landscapes with artistic drawings and animations to create a multi-layered flow of images. The artists experiment with osmotic processes in the relationship between man and nature. They focus their attention on energetic systems and ecological interactions. They are interested in natural energy flows as fundamental processes that determine the dynamics and stability of natural systems.

TENTAKULUM
Katharina Berndt, Kuno Seltmann, Tom Groll

In addition to their independent artistic careers, Katharina Berndt, Tom Groll and Kuno Seltmann have been working as an artistic collective since 2020, preferably with the light-drawing media silhouette/shadow image, photography, film and projection, mostly as site-specific art interventions. The common concern of the transdisciplinary collective is the relationship between humans and nature in the face of climate change, environmental damage and the destruction of resources. Inspired by the thought models of author Donna Haraway, they ask themselves how alternatives to the Anthropocene can be conceived and shaped from an artistic perspective.
