SUN
Installation
This interactive installation invites the audience to engage with a digital sun, a dynamic sphere composed of ever-shifting particles. Using a Kinect sensor, the artwork captures the movements of audience in real-time, translating their gestures into visuals. Through custom software, these inputs manipulate the sun’s form, causing it to expand, contract, and evolve in response to human presence.
OBK
OBK is an emerging artist whose practice explores the intersection of new technologies and human sensory experiences. Engaging both touch and sight, OBK creates interactive works that invite the audience to observe and physically engage with the artwork. Focused on movement and frequencies, his projects challenge perceptions, altering how we experience the world around us. By manipulating perspectives and sensory interactions, OBK’s work expands the audience’s understanding of their environment and the objects within it.
INTERVIEW
In his interactive light installation for the LICHTROUTEN, the artist combines the industrial history of Lüdenscheid with modern technologies such as Kinect and TouchDesigner. Inspired by cosmic energy flows, his work enables visitors to shape light through movement. OBK reveals what this has to do with this year’s theme here:
