MUSIC SCHOOL
The municipal music school offers musical education for people of all ages. Infants as young as six months can gain their first experience of music here – through singing, dancing and making music in a playful way. For older children, teenagers and adults, there are lessons in a variety of instruments.The teaching programme includes individual and group lessons as well as class lessons. In addition to classical orchestral instruments such as string and wind instruments, piano, organ, accordion and guitar are also taught. There are also courses for popular music, such as electric guitar, keyboard and drums. Over the years, various orchestras, bands, ensembles and choirs have formed at the music school, enriching Lüdenscheid’s cultural life with concerts. Their performances take place in the large hall of the new music school building on Staberg.
